Overview

COVENTRY-SPECIFIC ITEMS

  • All current 11v11 teams and players will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In some instances, teams or players may remain with their current team, even if age group designations indicate a change.

  • If your child's team is staying together and not changing into the new age group formation, the team will always play in the age group of the oldest child on the team (ie, play up).

  • If your child chooses to leave a team that is staying together and not conforming to the new age-groups, your child must re-enter the CSA tryout system and will be evaluated with their peers from the new age group formations.

EXAMPLE (not real kids or teams):
  • Jaime's birthday is 8/2/2012
  • Ford's birthday is 1/26/2012.
  • They both play for the Earthquakes.  Because they are an existing 11v11 team, and both players were given permission by the CSA Director, they can remain on the U15 Earthquakes together.  OR.  Jaime can decide to try out for the U14 Thunder.

Player’s Age Group-Roster Formation Tool

***Clicking the link above will take you to an outside website

This tool helps determine a player’s age group based on their date of birth. After entering the player’s birthdate, the tool will display the relative age group options for three roster formation cycles:
January 1–December 31,
August 1–July 31, and
September 1–August 31.
The results are intended as a guide; please consult your club, league, or organization member to confirm the most appropriate age group for the player.
