Intramural Coach Resources

Only cleared volunteers are allowed to volunteer on any intramural team. A list of cleared volunteers will be released each season to eligible volunteers. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding with this matter.

Volunteer clearances include:

~PA State Police Background Check - must be from within the last 5 years. This clearance is FREE for volunteers. Can be found at https://www.dhs.pa.gov/KeepKidsSafe/Clearances/Pages/Criminal-Background-Check.aspx

~PA Child Abuse Clearance - must be from within the last 5 years. This clearance is FREE for volunteers. Can be found at https://www.dhs.pa.gov/KeepKidsSafe/Clearances/Pages/PA-Child-Abuse-History-Clearance.aspx

~FBI Fingerprinting - ONLY if you have not lived in Pennsylvania for 10 years or more. Must be from within the last 5 years. This clearance does have a small cost. Can be found at https://www.dhs.pa.gov/KeepKidsSafe/Clearances/Pages/FBI-Fingerprinting.aspx

~Fingerprint Affidavit - Must be notarized, from within the last five years, and have lived in Pennsylvania for 10 consecutive years or more. This document can be found here: FBI Fingerprint Affidavit

Additionally, there will be two to three video courses that must be completed. These clearances MUST be valid for the entire season and are valid for up to one year. Returning coaches are responsible for making sure their clearances are valid for the entire season.
